JOIN OUR TEAM AS A SYSTEMS ENGINEER
We are seeking a Systems Engineer for our Biotech business to develop and maintain requirements and the system architecture for our devices, considering the full system life cycle. You will significantly contribute to verification and validation processes while serving as an essential interface—leading, coordinating, and mediating—between various stakeholders, including management, quality assurance, project management, and technical domains such as software, mechatronics, fluidics, electronics, bioprocess/analytics, and mechanics.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating necessary technical documentation and negotiating solutions.
- Developing and contributing to the modeling of our systems.
- Coordinating and managing individual projects or sub-projects, acting as a system integrator.
- Analyzing risks, hazards, improvement ideas, and applicable standards, incorporating them into the design workflow.
- Supporting business development by monitoring relevant R&D activities and contributing to program strategy development.
YOUR PROFILE
- You hold an engineering degree (ETH/FH or equivalent) in a relevant field specializing in systems engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or microtechnology.
- You are experienced in developing complex system/subsystem requirements and specifications, focusing on performance, safety, maintainability, and reliability.
- You demonstrate enthusiasm for understanding complex interrelationships and are an independent, solution-oriented, analytical team player with excellent target-oriented communication skills.
- You can pragmatically adapt and introduce new systems engineering approaches to meet project needs.
- You possess knowledge of standardized systems engineering methodologies and experience with the V-model systems development lifecycle.
- You are comfortable under pressure, thrive in highly collaborative and agile teams, and can work with uncertainty and engineering changes.
- Familiarity with regulations such as ISO 12100, IEC 61010-1, and IEC 61326 is desirable.
- Experience with PLM, MBSE, or requirements management tools, as well as coding skills, is a plus.
- You have more than 4 years of professional experience as a development engineer or systems engineer in multidisciplinary projects, preferably in highly regulated industries; additional experience as a project manager is a plus.
- You work well with teams and are comfortable collaborating closely with diverse individuals.
- You are fluent in English; knowledge of German is a plus.
