JOIN OUR TEAM AS A SYSTEMS ENGINEER

As a key member of our Biotech business, you will develop and maintain requirements as well as the system architecture for our devices, considering the full system life cycle. Your contributions will be vital to the verification and validation processes. You will serve as a crucial interface, leading and coordinating mediation efforts between various stakeholders, including management, quality control, project management, and technical domains such as software, mechatronics, fluidics, electronics, bioprocess/analytics, and mechanics. Additionally, you will create the necessary technical documentation and negotiate effective solutions.

In this role, you will also develop and contribute to the modeling of our systems, coordinate and manage individual projects or sub-projects, and act as a system integrator. Risk analysis, hazard assessment, and the incorporation of improvement ideas and relevant standards into the design workflow will be part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will support business development by monitoring relevant activities in R&D and contribute to the program strategy.

YOUR PROFILE

• You hold an engineering degree (ETH/FH or equivalent) in a relevant field, specializing in systems engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or microtechnology.
• You are skilled in developing complex system and subsystem requirements, system concepts, and specifications, focusing on performance, safety, maintainability, and reliability.
• You possess a strong aptitude for understanding and demonstrating complex interrelationships and are an independent, solution-oriented, and analytical team player with excellent communication skills.
• You can pragmatically adapt and implement new systems engineering approaches to meet project needs.
• You have knowledge and experience with standardized systems engineering methodologies and the V-model systems development lifecycle.
• You thrive under pressure and have high visibility towards senior management, excelling in collaborative, agile teamwork while managing uncertainty and engineering changes.
• An understanding of regulations or standards such as ISO 12100, IEC 61010-1, and IEC 61326 is advantageous.
• Experience with PLM, MBSE, or requirements management tools, as well as coding skills, are a plus.
• You bring over 4 years of professional experience as a development engineer or systems engineer in multidisciplinary projects, preferably in highly regulated industries. Additional project management experience is a bonus.
• You are a team player who enjoys collaborating closely with others.
• You are fluent in English, and knowledge of German is a plus.
