Role and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for various aspects of drone avionics improvement and development, including:
- Enhancement of the drone avionics systems, focusing on electrical wiring, sensors, avionics boxes, battery, and power management.
- Creation of technical drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications, configurations, and settings.
- Testing of components and sub-systems, with an emphasis on electrical components and systems.
- Supporting the testing of the complete drone system.
- Conducting root cause problem solving.
- Preparing and maintaining technical documentation.
- Electrical assembly of components and systems for testing.
- Managing suppliers of avionics components and systems.
- Assuming responsibility for system design.
- Improving SwissDrones processes and procedures.
Your Profile
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- A solid technical education, such as an apprenticeship as an aircraft electronic technician or an equivalent qualification.
- Higher education is a plus, preferably in electrical engineering, avionics engineering, systems engineering, or related fields.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in avionics and electronics.
- Proficiency in one or more major CAD programs for electronics.
- Experience in electrical design, manufacturing, assembly, and testing.
- Background in environments with high quality and safety requirements, such as aviation, automotive, pharmaceuticals, or medical devices.
- Familiarity with software integration, configuration, programming, or software development is a plus.
- A high degree of flexibility and adaptability within a dynamic and growing company.
- A willingness to solve problems and improve company procedures and processes.
- A collaborative team player.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Experience with M365 (SharePoint, Outlook, Teams).
- A strong can-do/will-do attitude.
