ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY
The primary responsibilities of this position include:
- Improving and developing the drone avionics, including electrical wiring, sensors, avionics boxes, batteries, and power management.
- Creating technical drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications, configurations, and settings.
- Testing components and subsystems, with a focus on electrical components and systems.
- Supporting the testing of the complete drone system.
- Conducting root cause problem-solving.
- Producing technical documentation.
- Performing electrical assembly of components and systems for testing.
- Managing avionics component and avionics system suppliers.
- Assuming responsibility for system design.
- Enhancing SwissDrones processes and procedures.
YOUR PROFILE
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Solid technical education, such as an apprenticeship as an aircraft electronic technician or equivalent.
- Higher education is optional, preferably in electrical engineering, avionics engineering, systems engineering, or equivalent.
- 3+ years of relevant working experience in the avionics and electronics field.
- Proficiency in one of the major CAD programs for electronics.
- Experience in electrical design, manufacturing, assembly, and testing.
- A background in environments with high quality and safety requirements, such as aviation, automotive, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or similar.
- Skills in software integration, configuration, programming, or software development are a plus.
- A high degree of flexibility and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and growing company.
- A strong willingness to solve problems and improve company procedures and processes.
- A collaborative team player.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Experience with M365 tools (SharePoint, Outlook, Teams).
- A proactive and positive can-do attitude.
