Role and Responsibility
We are seeking a skilled professional to contribute to the advancement and enhancement of our drone avionics. The responsibilities of the role include:
- Improvement and development of drone avionics, encompassing electrical wiring, sensors, avionics boxes, battery, and power management.
- Creating technical drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications, and configurations.
- Testing components and sub-systems, with a focus on electrical components and systems.
- Supporting the testing of the complete drone system.
- Root cause problem solving.
- Composing technical documentation.
- Performing electrical assembly of components and systems for testing.
- Managing suppliers for avionics components and systems.
- Taking responsibility for system design.
- Enhancing SwissDrones' processes and procedures.
Your Profile
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- A solid technical education, such as an apprenticeship as an aircraft electronic technician, or equivalent.
- Higher education is optional, e.g., in electrical engineering, avionics engineering, or systems engineering.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in the avionics and electronics field.
- Proficiency in one of the major CAD programs for electronics.
- Experience in electrical design, manufacturing, assembly, and testing.
- Background working in environments with high-quality and safety requirements, such as aviation, automotive, pharmaceuticals, or medical devices.
- Experience in software integration, configuration, programming, or software development is a plus.
- A high degree of flexibility and adaptability to a dynamic and growing company.
- A willingness to solve problems and improve company procedures and processes.
- A collaborative team player.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Familiarity with M365 (SharePoint, Outlook, Teams).
- A strong can-do/will-do attitude.
