Role and Responsibilities
As a key contributor to our team, you will play a vital role in the improvement and development of drone avionics. Your responsibilities will include:
- Enhancing and developing drone avionics, including components such as electrical wiring, sensors, avionics boxes, battery systems, and power management.
- Creating detailed technical drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications, configurations, and settings.
- Testing components and sub-systems with a focus on electrical components and systems.
- Supporting the testing of the complete drone system.
- Conducting root cause problem analysis and solving issues effectively.
- Preparing comprehensive technical documentation.
- Assembling electrical components and systems for testing purposes.
- Managing relationships with avionics component and system suppliers.
- Taking ownership of system design responsibilities.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of SwissDrones' processes and procedures.
Your Profile
We are looking for a dynamic candidate who possesses the following qualifications:
- A solid technical education, such as an apprenticeship as an aircraft electronic technician or an equivalent qualification.
- Higher education is a plus, such as a degree in electrical engineering, avionics engineering, or systems engineering.
- At least 3 years of relevant working experience in the avionics and electronics field.
- Familiarity with one of the major CAD programs for electronics.
- Experience in electrical design, manufacturing, assembly, and testing.
- A background in high-quality and safety-sensitive environments such as aviation, automotive, pharmaceuticals, or medical devices is preferred.
- Knowledge of software integration, configuration, programming, or software development skills would be advantageous.
- A high degree of flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic and growing company.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving.
- A commitment to improving company procedures and processes.
- A strong team player who collaborates effectively.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Experience with M365 (SharePoint, Outlook, Teams).
- A strong can-do/will-do attitude.
