Job Description
As a System Engineer in Technology Development, you will work hands-on with our high-tech systems, driving innovation and integrating new system solutions. You will test prototypes, specify components, and support internal teams and customers with your technical expertise. With your proactive mindset and technical know-how, you will play a key role in shaping the next generation of our equipment.
What You Will Be Doing
- Drive Innovation: Support research, develop new hardware and software concepts, and test solutions alongside Engineering.
- Specify System Components: Select, define, and specify system components, subsystems, and assemblies.
- Test Prototypes & Integrate Systems: Perform tests on equipment and prototypes independently while proactively driving system integration.
- Own Technical Documentation: Create system specifications, mandatory reports, and maintain technical system documentation.
- Work Closely with Customers: Support Product Management, Service, Customer Support, and occasionally assist on-site, delivering technical training.
What You Should Bring
- Technical Education: A degree (HF, HTL, FH, ETH) in electrical engineering or microtechnology, or at least 3 years of experience in vacuum technology.
- Thin-Film Expertise & Analytical Thinking: Familiarity with thin-film technology and the ability to apply systematic analysis for data-based decisions.
- Hands-On Mindset & Willingness to Learn: A strong hands-on approach, actively exploring new possibilities, and a commitment to pursue your goals; confident working with new technologies and adaptable to changing projects and requirements.
- Team Spirit & Clear Communication: Valuing close collaboration, transparent communication, and a direct working style.
- Language & Travel Readiness: Fluency in German and English, with a willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
