System Architect Optics
Your Main Tasks
- Define the system architecture of optical consumer products, ensuring performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Translate product requirements and consumer needs into comprehensive system specifications.
- Lead system-level integration activities, balancing optical, mechanical, electronic, and software requirements.
- Oversee the technical definition, architecture, and roadmap of advanced optical systems for consumer products (multifunctional observation devices).
- Specify and validate system interfaces across multidisciplinary teams (optical, mechanical, electronic, firmware/software).
- Act as a technical reference for internal and external stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to drive product industrialization and ensure quality assurance.
- Stay informed about emerging trends and innovations in optical science, materials, and technologies.
Your Profile
- Master's Degree in Physics, Optics, or a related field (ETH or equivalent, University of Applied Sciences).
- At least 3 years of proven experience in optical product development and system-level architecture, particularly in consumer environments; knowledge in binoculars and laser range finders is a plus.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and collaborating across various project phases.
- Strong team spirit along with excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in development methods.
- Fluency in German and English.
