Your Main Tasks

  • Define and architect optical consumer products, ensuring performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Translate product requirements and consumer needs into comprehensive system specifications.
  • Lead system-level integration activities while balancing optical, mechanical, electronic, and software requirements.
  • Define the technical architecture and roadmap for advanced optical systems in consumer products, including multifunctional observation devices.
  • Specify and validate system interfaces across multidisciplinary teams (optical, mechanical, electronic, firmware/software).
  • Act as a technical reference for internal and external stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to drive product industrialization and ensure quality assurance.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends and innovations in optical science, materials, and technologies.

Your Profile

  • Master's Degree in Physics, Optics, or a related field (ETH or equivalent, University of Applied Sciences).
  • Minimum of 3 years' proven experience in optical product development and system-level architecture, especially in consumer environments; knowledge of binoculars and laser rangefinders is a plus.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and collaborating across various project phases.
  • Strong team spirit, along with excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in development methods.
  • Fluency in German and English.
