Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare traditional and high-quality Indian sweets and desserts.
- Ensure food quality and safety, including maintaining proper sweet temperatures, safe refrigeration of ingredients, and managing food allergens.
- Utilize specialized cooking equipment, such as deep fryers.
- Maintain cleanliness in kitchen and food service areas.
- Follow recipes and instructions to guarantee consistency and quality.
- Accurately measure and weigh ingredients.
- Operate and maintain equipment used in the production process.
- Monitor the cooking process and make adjustments as necessary.
- Package finished products and label them appropriately.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Ensure the food quality and presentation of prepared dishes.
- Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to maintain high standards.
- Manage stock and liaise with purchase and catering managers to ensure the adequate availability of food items.
- Receive goods and supplies while checking quality and quantity.
- Store raw materials and ingredients, ensuring compliance with temperature guidelines.
- Set up and manage buffet stations with necessary supplies.
- Inform restaurant managers and captains about the unavailability of certain dishes.
- Ensure personal hygiene and safety requirements are met.
- Monitor the performance of assistant chefs, kitchen helpers, and trainees.
- Maintain high standards for all products used in dishes.
- Implement and review health and safety legislation and guidelines regularly.
- Ensure cleanliness in all areas after service.
- Prepare kitchen cleaning rosters.

Candidate Profile:
- Minimum of ten years of experience in a reputable restaurant or hotel.
- Preferably holds a diploma or degree in Hospitality.
- A commitment to work for a minimum of two years at our restaurant in Switzerland is expected.
- Sound knowledge of South Indian specialty cuisine, particularly vegetarian dishes, and Indian cooking techniques.
- Additional proficiency in German is preferred.
