Responsibilities:
- Prepare traditional and high-quality Indian sweets and desserts.
- Ensure food quality and safety, including monitoring sweet temperatures, safe refrigeration of ingredients, and managing food allergens.
- Work with specialized cooking equipment, including deep fryers.
- Maintain cleanliness in kitchen and food service areas.
- Prepare, cook, and handle sweets with precision and care.
- Stock the storefront display with a diverse and visually appealing assortment of sweets.
- Follow recipes and instructions to ensure consistency and quality.
- Measure and weigh ingredients accurately.
- Operate and maintain equipment used in the production process.
- Monitor the cooking process and make necessary adjustments.
- Package finished products and label them appropriately.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and deadlines.
- Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure standards are met.
- Take stock and liaise with purchase and catering managers to ensure adequate availability of food items.
- Receive goods and supplies after quality checks on quantity and quality.
- Store raw materials and ingredients appropriately, adhering to food storage temperature guidelines.
- Set up and manage buffet stations with all necessary supplies.
- Inform restaurant managers and team leaders about any unavailable dishes.
- Ensure personal hygiene and safety requirements are met.
- Oversee the performance of assistant chefs, kitchen helpers, and trainees.
- Ensure all products used for dishes are of high standard.
- Implement, adhere to, and regularly review all health and safety legislation and guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness of all areas after service.
- Prepare kitchen cleaning rosters.

Candidate Profile:
- Minimum of ten years of experience in a well-reputed restaurant or hotel.
- Qualified with a diploma or degree in Hospitality (preferred).
- Commitment to work for a minimum of two years at our restaurants in Switzerland is expected.
- Sound knowledge of South Indian specialty cuisine (preferably vegetarian) and Indian cooking techniques.
- Proficiency in German is a plus.
