Key Responsibilities
- Prepare traditional and high-quality Indian sweets and desserts.
- Ensure food quality and safety, including monitoring sweet temperatures, safe refrigeration of ingredients, and managing food allergens.
- Utilize specialized cooking equipment, such as deep fryers.
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and food service areas.
- Follow recipes and instructions to ensure consistency and quality in food preparation.
- Measure and weigh ingredients accurately.
- Operate and maintain equipment used in the production process.
- Monitor the cooking process and make necessary adjustments.
- Clean and sanitize the work area and equipment.
- Package finished products and label them appropriately.
- Collaborate with other team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Ensure the presentation of prepared dishes meets the highest standards.
- Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to uphold our quality standards.
- Manage stock levels and liaise with purchasing and catering managers to ensure the availability of ingredients.
- Receive goods and supplies, verifying quality and quantity.
- Store raw materials and ingredients while meeting food storage temperature guidelines.
- Set up and manage buffet stations with all necessary supplies.
- Communicate with restaurant managers about any unavailability of certain dishes.
- Adhere to personal hygiene and safety requirements.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen and all cooking utensils and equipment.
- Monitor the performance of assistant chefs, kitchen helpers, and trainees.
- Uphold high standards for all ingredients used in dishes.
- Implement and regularly review health and safety legislation and guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness of all areas post-service.
- Prepare kitchen cleaning rosters.

Candidate Profile
- Minimum of ten years of experience in a well-reputed restaurant or hotel.
- Qualified, preferably with a diploma or degree in Hospitality.
- Commitment to work a minimum of two years at our restaurants in Switzerland.
- Sound knowledge of South Indian specialty cuisine, preferably vegetarian.
- Familiarity with Indian cooking techniques.
- Proficiency in German is preferred.
