As a Sustainability Process Engineer - Water/Wastewater Specialist, you will play a vital role in project execution within our sustainability department, focusing on the development and implementation of innovative ideas for industrial water and wastewater treatment, water quality monitoring, and the analysis of semiconductor plant data, all aimed at serving our customers.

The position is based in Witterswil, Solothurn (Basel Area), Switzerland, accessible via excellent public transport links (Tram 10) and providing free car parking. The role will also involve some international travel.
What is the Role?
- Manage the execution of sustainability projects in water treatment from conception to successful implementation and market launch.
- Lead the implementation of innovative ideas, concepts, and strategies for reducing, reusing, and recycling water in the semiconductor industry.
- Develop new digital tools essential for defining comprehensive water management strategies for complex systems.
- Provide support to customers throughout the sustainability project lifecycle.
- Estimate project expenses (CapEx, OpEx).
- Analyze water and wastewater quality.
- Design, pilot, and evaluate water and wastewater treatment processes.
- Implement and test prototypes and pilot plants.
- Conduct literature and web research.
- Create and contribute to the company's future knowledge base.
- Write technical documentation and reports.
Does this Sound Like You?
- You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in a science field, preferably in Chemical, Process, or Industrial Engineering.
- You possess 3-5 years of non-academic professional experience in industrial water or wastewater treatment technologies, including knowledge of P&IDs, PFDs, and mass balances.
- You have experience in process engineering, as well as the design and setup of water or wastewater systems.
- You are keen to develop into the area of process engineering and aspire to become an expert in the field.
- You have a solid understanding of economics and sustainability contexts.
- You demonstrate self-initiative and creativity, are flexible, and can work effectively under pressure.
- You are willing to travel internationally, including for extended periods.
- You possess a strong team-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills for collaborating with our international departments, suppliers, and customers.
- You are fluent in English (spoken and written); proficiency in German, French, or other languages is an asset.
- You are a Swiss or EU citizen or hold a C Swiss resident permit.
