As a Sustainability Process Engineer - Water/Wastewater Specialist, you will oversee project execution within the sustainability department, focusing on the development and implementation of innovative ideas and concepts for industrial water and wastewater treatment, water quality monitoring, and the collection and analysis of data from semiconductor plants to serve Ovivo's customers.

The role is based in Witterswil, Solothurn (Basel Area), Switzerland, with excellent public transport connections (Tram 10) and free car parking. The position will require some international travel.
What is the role?
- Manage the execution of sustainability projects in water treatment from concept to successful implementation and market launch.
- Lead the implementation of creative ideas, concepts, and strategies for water consumption reduction, reuse, and recycling in the semiconductor industry.
- Develop new digital tools essential for defining comprehensive water management strategies for complex systems.
- Support customers throughout the lifecycle of sustainability projects.
- Estimate project expenses (CapEx, OpEx).
- Analyze water and wastewater qualities.
- Design, pilot, and evaluate water and wastewater treatment processes.
- Implement and test prototypes and pilot plants.
- Conduct literature and web research.
- Create and contribute to the future know-how of the company.
- Write technical documentation and reports.
Does this sound like you?
- You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in science, preferably in Chemical, Process, or Industrial Engineering.
- You possess at least 3-5 years of professional experience in industrial water or wastewater treatment technologies, including P&IDs, PFDs, mass balances, and OPEX.
- You have experience in process engineering, including the design and setup of water or wastewater systems.
- You are eager to develop your expertise in process engineering.
- You have a good understanding of economics within a sustainability context.
- You demonstrate self-initiative and creativity, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- You are mobile and enjoy international travel, even for extended periods.
- You exhibit a team-oriented attitude and possess excellent communication skills for collaboration with internal departments, suppliers, and customers.
- You are fluent in English (spoken and written); proficiency in German, French, or other languages is a plus.
- You are a Swiss or EU citizen or hold a C Swiss resident permit.
