As a Sustainability Process Engineer - Water/Wastewater Specialist, you will be responsible for managing project execution within our sustainability department, focusing on the development and implementation of innovative ideas and concepts for industrial water and wastewater treatment, water quality monitoring, and the collection and analysis of data from semiconductor plants, serving our customers.

This role is based in Witterswil, Solothurn (Basel Area), Switzerland, which offers good public transport connections (Tram 10) and free car parking. Note that the role will require some international travel.
What is the Role?
- Manage the execution of sustainability projects in water treatment from concept to successful implementation and market launch.
- Lead the implementation of creative ideas, concepts, and strategies for water consumption reduction, reuse, and recycling in the semiconductor industry.
- Develop new digital tools essential for defining comprehensive water management strategies for complex systems.
- Support customers throughout the lifecycle of sustainability projects.
- Estimate project expenses (CapEx, OpEx).
- Analyze water and wastewater qualities.
- Design, pilot, and evaluate water and wastewater treatment processes.
- Implement and test prototypes and pilot plants.
- Conduct literature and web research.
- Create and contribute to the company's future knowledge base.
- Prepare technical documentation and reports.
Does This Sound Like You?
- You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in science, preferably in Chemical, Process, or Industrial Engineering.
- You possess at least 3-5 years of non-academic professional experience in industrial water or wastewater treatment technologies such as P&IDs, PFDs, mass balances, and OPEX.
- You have experience in process engineering and the design and setup of water or wastewater systems.
- You are eager to develop your expertise in process engineering.
- You possess a solid understanding of economics and sustainability contexts.
- You demonstrate self-initiative and creativity, and you are flexible and resilient under pressure.
- You enjoy worldwide travel and are open to prolonged durations of travel.
- You have a team-oriented mindset paired with excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal international departments, suppliers, and customers.
- You are fluent in English (spoken and written), with additional proficiency in German, French, or other languages being advantageous.
- You are a Swiss or EU citizen or hold a C Swiss resident permit.
