As a Sustainability Process Engineer - Water/Wastewater Specialist, your primary responsibility will involve managing project execution within the sustainability department, with a substantial focus on the development and implementation of innovative ideas and concepts for industrial water and wastewater treatment, water quality monitoring, and the collection and analysis of data from semiconductor plants to serve Ovivo’s clients.

This position is based in Witterswil, Solothurn (Basel Area), Switzerland, with excellent public transport connections (Tram 10) and free car parking. The role may also require some international travel.

What is the Role?

• Manage the execution of sustainability projects in water treatment from concept to successful implementation and market launch.
• Lead the implementation of innovative ideas, concepts, and strategies for water consumption reduction, reuse, and recycling in the semiconductor industry.
• Develop new digital tools essential for defining comprehensive water management strategies for complex systems.
• Serve customers throughout the lifecycle of sustainability projects.
• Estimate project expenses (CapEx, OpEx).
• Analyze water and wastewater qualities.
• Design, pilot, and evaluate water and wastewater treatment processes.
• Implement and test prototypes and pilot plants.
• Conduct literature and web research.
• Contribute to the future knowledge of the company.
• Write technical documentation and reports.

Does This Sound Like You?

• You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in science, preferably in Chemical, Process, or Industrial Engineering.
• You possess 3-5 years of non-academic professional experience in industrial water or wastewater treatment technologies, including P&IDs, PFDs, mass balances, and OPEX.
• You have experience in process engineering and the design and setup of water or wastewater systems.
• You are interested in furthering your expertise in process engineering.
• You have a solid understanding of economic and sustainability contexts.
• You demonstrate self-initiative and creativity; you are flexible and can perform under pressure.
• You enjoy traveling worldwide and are open to spending extended periods abroad.
• You possess a team-oriented working attitude and excellent communication skills for collaboration with international departments, suppliers, and customers.
• You are fluent in English, both spoken and written. Proficiency in German, French, or other languages is an advantage.
• You are a Swiss or EU citizen or hold a C Swiss resident permit.
