As a Sustainability Process Engineer - Water/Wastewater Specialist, you will manage project execution within the sustainability department, focusing on the development and implementation of innovative ideas and concepts for industrial water and wastewater treatment, water quality monitoring, and data analysis from semiconductor plants, all while serving Ovivo customers.

The role is based in Witterswil, Solothurn (Basel Area), Switzerland, with excellent public transport connections (Tram 10) and free car parking available. The role will also require some international travel.

What is the Role?

• Manage the execution of sustainability projects in water treatment from concept to successful implementation and market launch.
• Lead the implementation of innovative ideas, concepts, and strategies for water consumption reduction, reuse, and recycling within the semiconductor industry.
• Develop new digital tools essential for defining comprehensive water management strategies for complex systems.
• Serve customers throughout the lifetime of sustainability projects.
• Estimate project expenses (CapEx, OpEx).
• Analyze water and wastewater qualities.
• Design, pilot, and evaluate water and wastewater treatment processes.
• Implement and test prototypes and pilot plants.
• Conduct literature and web research.
• Create and contribute to the company's future know-how.
• Write technical documentation and reports.

Does This Sound Like You?

• Bachelor's or master's degree in science, preferably in Chemical, Process, or Industrial Engineering.
• 3-5 years of non-academic professional experience in industrial water or wastewater treatment technologies (e.g., P&IDs, PFDs, mass balances, OPEX).
• Experience in process engineering, specifically in water or wastewater systems design and setup.
• Interest in developing expertise in process engineering.
• Good understanding of economics and sustainability.
• Self-initiative, creativity, flexibility, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to travel internationally for extended periods.
• Team-oriented with excellent communication skills for close cooperation with international departments, suppliers, and customers.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written); additional languages such as German or French are a plus.
• Swiss or EU citizen or holder of a C Swiss resident permit.
