As a Sustainability Process Engineer - Water/Wastewater Specialist, you will manage project execution within the sustainability department, focusing on the development and implementation of creative ideas and concepts for industrial water and wastewater treatment, water quality monitoring, and the analysis of real-time data from semiconductor plants, all to better serve our customers.

The role is based in Witterswil, Solothurn (Basel Area), Switzerland, with convenient public transport access (Tram 10) and free car parking. Please note that this role may require some international travel.
What is the Role?
- Manage the execution of sustainability projects in water treatment from initial concept to successful implementation and market launch.
- Lead the implementation of innovative ideas, concepts, and strategies for reducing, reusing, and recycling water within the semiconductor industry.
- Develop new digital tools essential for defining comprehensive water management strategies for complex systems.
- Support customers throughout the lifecycle of sustainability projects.
- Estimate project expenses (CapEx, OpEx).
- Analyze water and wastewater qualities.
- Design, pilot, and evaluate water and wastewater treatment processes.
- Implement and test prototypes and pilot plants.
- Conduct literature and web research.
- Create and contribute to the future knowledge base of the company.
- Write technical documentation and reports.
Does This Sound Like You?
- You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in science, preferably in Chemical, Process, or Industrial Engineering.
- You have 3-5 years of professional experience in industrial water or wastewater treatment technologies.
- You possess experience in process engineering and the design and setup of water or wastewater systems.
- You are eager to develop your expertise in process engineering.
- You have a solid understanding of the economics and sustainability context.
- You demonstrate self-initiative and creativity; you are flexible and thrive under pressure.
- You are willing to travel internationally, sometimes for extended periods.
- You display a team-oriented working attitude with excellent communication skills, working closely with internal international departments, suppliers, and clients.
- You are fluent in English (spoken and written). Proficiency in German, French, or other languages is a plus.
- You are a Swiss or EU citizen or hold a C Swiss resident permit.
