As a Sustainability Process Engineer - Water/Wastewater Specialist, you will take on the pivotal role of managing project execution within our sustainability department. Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing innovative ideas and concepts for industrial water and wastewater treatment, alongside monitoring water quality and analyzing data from semiconductor plants, all in a bid to serve our valued customers.

The role is based in Witterswil, Solothurn (Basel Area), Switzerland, conveniently located with excellent public transport connections (Tram 10) and free car parking. Some international travel may be required for this position.

What is the Role?

• Manage the execution of sustainability projects in water treatment from conception to successful implementation and market launch.
• Lead the implementation of innovative ideas and strategies for reducing, reusing, and recycling water in the semiconductor industry.
• Develop new digital tools essential for creating comprehensive water management strategies for complex systems.
• Support customers throughout the lifecycle of sustainability projects.
• Estimate project costs (CapEx, OpEx).
• Analyze water and wastewater qualities.
• Design, pilot, and evaluate water and wastewater treatment processes.
• Implement and test prototypes and pilot plants.
• Conduct literature and web research.
• Create and contribute to the company's future knowledge base.
• Prepare technical documentation and reports.

Does This Sound Like You?

• You have a bachelor's or master's degree in science, preferably in Chemical, Process, or Industrial Engineering.
• You possess 3-5 years of non-academic professional experience in industrial water or wastewater treatment technologies, including P&IDs, PFDs, and mass balances.
• You have experience in process engineering and the design and setup of water or wastewater systems.
• You are eager to develop your expertise in process engineering.
• You have a solid understanding of economics and sustainability.
• You demonstrate self-initiative and creativity, and you thrive under pressure.
• You are mobile and willing to travel internationally for extended periods.
• You work well in teams, showcasing excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal departments, suppliers, and customers.
• You are fluent in English (spoken and written); knowledge of German, French, or other languages is an advantage.
• You are a Swiss or EU citizen or possess a C Swiss resident permit.
