As a Sustainability Process Engineer - Water/Wastewater Specialist, you will be responsible for managing project execution within the sustainability department, focusing on developing and implementing innovative ideas and concepts for industrial water and wastewater treatment, as well as water quality monitoring. Your role will involve collecting and analyzing data from semiconductor plants to better serve Ovivo's customers.

The role is based in Witterswil, Solothurn (Basel Area), Switzerland, which offers excellent public transport connections (Tram 10) and free parking. Please note that this position may require some international travel.
What is the Role?
- Manage the execution of sustainability projects in water treatment from inception to successful implementation and market launch.
- Lead the implementation of innovative ideas, concepts, and strategies for water consumption reduction, reuse, and recycling within the semiconductor industry.
- Develop new digital tools essential for defining comprehensive water management strategies for complex systems.
- Support customers throughout the lifetime of sustainability projects.
- Estimate project expenses (CapEx, OpEx).
- Analyze water and wastewater qualities.
- Design, pilot, and evaluate water and wastewater treatment processes.
- Implement and test prototypes and pilot plants.
- Conduct literature and web research.
- Create and contribute to the future knowledge base of the company.
- Write technical documentation and reports.
Does this Sound Like You?
- You hold a bachelor's or master’s degree in a science discipline, preferably in Chemical, Process, or Industrial Engineering.
- You possess at least 3-5 years of non-academic professional experience in industrial water or wastewater treatment technologies, including P&IDs, PFDs, and mass balances.
- You have experience in process engineering and designing water or wastewater systems.
- You are interested in developing your expertise in the area of process engineering.
- You understand the economic and sustainability context of your work.
- You demonstrate self-initiative and creativity, are flexible, and thrive under pressure.
- You are willing to travel internationally for extended periods.
- You are a team player with excellent communication skills, capable of collaborating closely with internal departments, suppliers, and customers.
- You are fluent in English (spoken and written); proficiency in German, French, or additional languages is a plus.
- You are a Swiss or EU citizen or hold a C Swiss residence permit.
