Position Overview: Supply Chain Quality Manager – High-Volume Parts (m/f/d)

As a Supply Chain Quality Manager, you will play a vital role in advancing quality excellence and improvements across our global value chain for high-volume turbocharger parts. This position involves more than just managing current quality processes; you will actively shape and implement quality assurance strategies that enhance supply chain resilience and create long-term value. Your Responsibilities

  • Quality Strategy
    • Develop and implement a robust supply chain quality strategy, framework, and processes for high-volume manufacturing environments (PPAP).
  • Quality Assurance
    • Define and maintain quality standards, procedures, and documentation (e.g., control plans, work instructions).
    • Establish and manage quality gates and processes with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
    • Lead process validation activities (IQ, OQ, PQ) to ensure production readiness.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Suppliers, Quality Inspection, Logistics, and Production) to meet quality requirements.
    • Identify and mitigate technical risks early in the supply process by collaborating closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to enhance part quality.
    • Serve as the quality representative for high-volume parts, ensuring early integration of quality standards and effective use of lessons learned.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Quality Performance
    • Establish statistical process control methods and monitor key quality metrics.
  • Quality Continuous Improvement
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
    • Manage non-conformance processes and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in quality engineering within high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with process validation and industrialization.
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies, including APQP, PPAP, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and accountable – with a focus on identifying opportunities, taking ownership, and delivering measurable improvements.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively across cultures and organizational levels.
  • Fluent in English and German.
  • Willingness to travel internationally, up to 10%.
