Position: Supply Chain Quality Manager – High-Volume Parts (m/f/d)

As a Supply Chain Quality Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving quality excellence and improvement throughout our global value chain for high-volume turbocharger parts. This role transcends traditional quality management; you will actively shape and implement quality assurance processes that enhance supply chain quality and resilience, fostering long-term value. Your Responsibilities

  • Quality Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain quality strategy, framework, and processes tailored for a high-volume manufacturing environment (PPAP).
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Define and maintain quality standards, procedures, and documentation (e.g., control plans, work instructions).
    • Establish and manage quality gates and processes with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
    • Lead process validation activities (IQ, OQ, PQ) to ensure production readiness.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Suppliers, Quality Inspection, Logistics, and Production) to meet quality requirements.
    • Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks early in the supply process, collaborating closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to enhance part quality.
    • Act as the quality representative for high-volume parts, ensuring the early integration of quality standards and the effective use of lessons learned.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Quality Performance: Establish statistical process control methods and monitor key quality metrics.
  • Quality Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies and managing non-conformance processes while implementing corrective and preventative actions.

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in quality engineering within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with process validation and industrialization.
  • Deep knowledge of quality tools and methodologies, including APQP, PPAP, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and accountable; you identify opportunities, take ownership, and deliver measurable improvements.
  • Exceptional collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures and organizational levels.
  • Fluent in English and German.
  • Willingness to travel internationally, up to 10%.
