Job Title: Supply and Inventory Planning Specialist

In this role, you will be responsible for Supply and Inventory Planning within the Medium & Low Speed Division at Accelleron Switzerland AG. Your primary focus will be ensuring the optimal balance between demand and supply, achieving consistently optimized inventory levels, and proactively identifying and addressing supply risks.

Reporting to the Global Planning & Fulfilment Manager, this position requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. You will need to balance costs with customer demand and adeptly handle supply chain disruptions.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collect data and generate a constrained supply plan, establishing and leading rough-cut capacity planning linked to the demand plan for short- and long-term supply strategies.
  • Analyze outputs and coordinate with production while providing inputs for the Global Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycle regarding supply risks and constraints.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify capacity constraints, recommend short-term and long-term solutions, and collaborate with production teams to eliminate bottlenecks.
  • Identify potential supply chain risks and disruptions, offering insights for the development of contingency plans.
  • Determine the impact of the supply plan on anticipated inventory levels and monitor inventory optimization actions to prevent shortages or excesses.
  • Coordinate cross-functional inventory reduction activities and perform financial risk assessments related to inventory decisions.
  • Work closely with the Production Team and category management for outsourcing efforts, and partner with external vendors and Category Managers to optimize capacity.
  • Generate detailed reports on supply and demand data, inventory levels, and overall supply chain performance for management review.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Your Background:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Project Management Certification or equivalent is a plus.
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in S&OP demand, supply, and inventory planning or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify complex data patterns, develop creative solutions, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
  • Experience with supply chain management software, as well as advanced functions in Power BI and Microsoft Excel. Proven ability to build complex data models from diverse data sources.
  • Understanding of market trends and the financial impacts of supply chain operations, along with a successful track record in implementing supply chain best practices.
  • Adept at adapting to changing circumstances and priorities.
