Job Opportunity: Supply and Inventory Planning

In this role, you will be responsible for Supply and Inventory Planning within the Medium & Low Speed Division at Accelleron Switzerland AG. Your primary focus will be to maintain an optimal balance between demand and supply while ensuring that inventory levels are consistently optimized. Additionally, you will be tasked with identifying and addressing supply risks.

Reporting to the Global Planning & Fulfilment Manager, this position requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to effectively balance costs with customer demand while managing supply chain disruptions.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyze data to generate a constrained supply plan, establishing and leading rough-cut capacity planning linked to the demand plan for effective execution of short- and long-term supply strategies.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify capacity constraints, recommending both short-term and long-term solutions in collaboration with production teams to align supply with demand.
  • Identify potential supply chain risks and disruptions, contributing to the development of contingency plans.
  • Determine the impact of the supply plan on expected inventory levels and monitor inventory optimization actions to prevent shortages or excess, coordinating cross-functional inventory reduction activities.
  • Coordinate and track progress with the Production Team and category management for outsourcing activities, collaborating with external vendors and Category Managers to optimize capacity and ensure material availability.
  • Generate reports on supply and demand data, inventory levels, and supply chain performance for management, providing inputs into the IBP cycle for supply risks and constraints.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Your Background:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Project Management Certification or equivalent is a plus.
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in S&OP demand, supply and inventory planning, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong ability to analyze complex data, identify patterns and issues, and develop creative solutions based on data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent prioritization skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Experience with supply chain management software and advanced functions in Power BI and Microsoft Excel; ability to build complex data models from various data sources.
  • Understanding of market trends and the financial impacts of supply chain operations on business, with a proven track record in implementing supply chain best practices.
  • Adaptability to changing circumstances and priorities.
