Job Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for Supply and Inventory Planning in the Medium & Low Speed Division at Accelleron Switzerland AG. Your primary focus will be ensuring the right balance between demand and supply while maintaining optimized inventory levels. Additionally, you will identify and address supply risks as they arise.
Reporting Structure
This position reports to the Global Planning & Fulfilment Manager and requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to effectively balance costs with customer demand and manage supply chain disruptions.
Your Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze data to generate a constrained supply plan, establishing and leading rough-cut capacity planning and linking it to the demand plan for short- and long-term supply execution.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify capacity constraints; recommend both short-term and long-term solutions to eliminate bottlenecks, collaborating with production teams to align supply with demand.
- Identify potential supply chain risks and disruptions, contributing to the development of contingency plans.
- Determine the impact of supply plans on expected inventory levels; monitor and coordinate inventory optimization actions to prevent shortages or excess while conducting financial risk assessments related to inventory decisions.
- Coordinate with the Production Team and category management for outsourcing activities, collaborating with external workbench vendors and Category Managers to optimize capacity and ensure material availability.
- Generate comprehensive reports on supply and demand data, inventory levels, and supply chain performance for management review.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Your Background
- A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Project Management Certification or equivalent is a plus.
- A minimum of 8 years of proven experience in S&OP demand, supply and inventory planning, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, identify patterns, develop creative solutions, and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
- Experience with supply chain management software and advanced proficiency in Power BI and Microsoft Excel; capable of building complex data models from diverse data sources.
- A sound understanding of market trends and the financial impacts of supply chain operations on the business, along with a proven track record in implementing supply chain best practices.
