Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for Supply and Inventory Planning within the Medium & Low Speed Division at Accelleron Switzerland AG. Your focus will be on ensuring the right balance between demand and supply while maintaining optimized inventory levels and proactively identifying and addressing supply risks.
Reporting to the Global Planning & Fulfilment Manager, this position requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to effectively balance costs with customer demand and manage supply chain disruptions.
Your Responsibilities:
- Collect data and generate a constrained supply plan; lead rough-cut capacity planning and link it to the demand plan to develop and execute both short- and long-term supply plans.
- Analyze the output and coordinate with production while contributing to the Global IBP cycle for supply risks and constraints.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify capacity constraints; recommend short-term and long-term solutions in collaboration with production teams to align supply with demand.
- Identify potential supply chain risks and disruptions, contributing to the development of contingency plans; highlight key root causes for underperformance and drive improvement initiatives.
- Determine the impact of the supply plan on expected inventory levels; monitor and coordinate inventory optimization actions to prevent shortages or excess, and conduct financial risk assessments related to inventory decisions.
- Coordinate and track progress with the Production Team and category management for outsourcing; collaborate with external vendors and Category Managers to optimize capacity and ensure material availability.
- Generate reports on supply and demand data, inventory levels, and supply chain performance for management; provide inputs into the IBP cycle for supply risks and constraints.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Your Background:
- A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Project Management Certification or equivalent is a plus.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in S&OP demand, supply, and inventory planning, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical skills to assess complex data, identify patterns and issues, develop innovative solutions, and make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
- Experience with supply chain management software and advanced functions in Power BI and Microsoft Excel; ability to build complex data models from diverse data sources.
- Understanding of market trends and the financial implications of supply chain operations on the business, with a proven track record of implementing supply chain best practices.
