Job Title: Supply and Inventory Planning Role

In this role, you will be responsible for Supply and Inventory Planning within the Medium & Low Speed Division at Accelleron Switzerland AG. You will ensure the optimal balance between demand and supply while maintaining optimized inventory levels and addressing potential supply risks.

Reporting to the Global Planning & Fulfilment Manager, this position requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to effectively balance costs with customer demand and manage supply chain disruptions.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collect data to generate a constrained supply plan, establish rough-cut capacity planning, and link it with the demand plan to develop and execute both short- and long-term supply strategies.
  • Analyze outputs, coordinate with production, and contribute insights to the Global IBP cycle concerning supply risks and constraints.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses to identify capacity constraints and recommend both short-term and long-term solutions to alleviate bottlenecks, collaborating with production teams to align supply with demand.
  • Identify potential supply chain risks and disruptions, providing input for contingency plan development.
  • Determine the impact of the supply plan on expected inventory levels and monitor inventory optimization actions to prevent shortages or excess, while coordinating cross-functional activities for inventory reduction and financial risk assessment.
  • Coordinate and track progress with the Production Team and category management on outsourcing activities. Collaborate with vendors and Category Managers to optimize capacity and ensure material availability.
  • Generate reports on supply and demand data, inventory levels, and supply chain performance for management, contributing to the IBP cycle for supply risks and constraints.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Your Background:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Project Management Certification or equivalent is a plus.
  • Proven experience of at least 8 years in S&OP demand, supply and inventory planning, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • A strong ability to analyze complex data, identify patterns, develop innovative solutions, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Demonstrated skills in prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to ensure effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and advanced knowledge of Power BI and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to build complex data models from various sources.
  • Understanding of market trends and the financial implications of supply chain operations, with a proven track record in implementing best practices.
  • Adaptability to changing circumstances and priorities.
