Job Title: Supply and Inventory Planning Specialist
In this role, you will take charge of Supply and Inventory Planning within the Medium & Low Speed Division at Accelleron Switzerland AG. Your focus will be on achieving the right balance between demand and supply while maintaining optimized inventory levels and identifying potential supply risks.
Your Responsibilities:
- Collect relevant data to generate a constrained supply plan. Lead rough-cut capacity planning and align it with the demand plan to develop and execute both short- and long-term supply strategies.
- Analyze output data and collaborate with production teams to provide inputs into the Global Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycle, specifically addressing supply risks and constraints.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify capacity constraints. Recommend and implement both short-term and long-term solutions to mitigate bottlenecks, ensuring alignment between supply and demand.
- Identify potential supply chain risks and disruptions. Contribute to the development of contingency plans and drive initiatives aimed at improving performance.
- Assess how supply plans impact expected inventory levels. Monitor and coordinate inventory optimization activities to prevent shortages or excess, and manage cross-functional inventory reduction efforts and financial risk assessments.
- Cooperate with the Production Team and category management for outsourcing activities. Collaborate with external vendors and Category Managers to enhance capacity and ensure material availability.
- Generate reports on supply and demand metrics, inventory levels, and overall supply chain performance for management. Provide relevant inputs into the IBP cycle for supply risks and constraints.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Your Background:
- A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Project Management Certification or equivalent experience is a plus.
- A minimum of 8 years of proven experience in S&OP demand, supply, and inventory planning, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data, identify patterns, develop creative solutions, and make informed decisions.
- Strong multitasking abilities; capability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and advanced functions in Power BI and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to build complex data models from diverse data sources.
- Strong understanding of market trends and the financial implications of supply chain operations; demonstrated success in implementing supply chain best practices.
