Job Description
The management of supplier quality at EM directly influences the effectiveness and efficiency of various activities, including the SCAR process, supplier selection and qualification, process change management, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement plans. Additionally, it involves critical supplier focus, global quality performance evaluation, and the development of suppliers where appropriate.
We are looking for a dedicated Supplier Quality Manager to join our Quality department.
- Define the supplier quality management strategy in close collaboration with Quality Management, Operations, and Business Units, ensuring its implementation, monitoring, and effective completion.
- Establish and review supplier quality agreements in a timely manner.
- Ensure that EM and customer requirements are effectively deployed to relevant stakeholders.
- Manage the SCAR process, focusing on root cause analysis and the effectiveness of CAPA in accordance with requirements.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Business Units, and Purchasing to assess, select, and qualify new suppliers, as well as to review and validate suppliers’ PPAP where applicable.
- Assist with risk assessments for supplier-related waiver requests, ensuring there is no impact on EM production or customers.
- Define and deploy yearly targets for automotive grade and relevant suppliers, foundries, and subcontractors.
- Monitor and report supplier quality performance to management, analyzing data to drive continuous improvement projects.
- Support Suppliers Performance Re-evaluation in conjunction with the Supply Chain team to initiate supplier audits and development plans.
- Oversee the supplier audit program in coordination with relevant parties, employing VDA 6.3 methodology as required for automotive-grade suppliers.
- Act as lead auditor for EM internal audit activities, including risk assessment and prioritization, and validate the effectiveness of corrective actions.
Profile
- Engineering degree (Master's is a plus) in Electronics, Microelectronics, or Materials Engineering with 5-10 years of experience in a supplier quality organization.
- In-depth knowledge of Quality Management Systems including ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
- Familiarity with automotive core tools such as FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP, and APQP.
- Awareness of industry standards like AEC Q100, Jedec, and MIL883.
- Audit experience with VDA 6.3; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; statistical knowledge is a plus.
- Understanding of semiconductor product development and manufacturing processes/environments.
- Project management skills.
