Job Description

The quality management of EM's suppliers directly influences the effectiveness and efficiency of several key activities. These include SCAR process management, supplier selection and qualification, and continuous performance improvement. Additionally, our focus extends to critical supplier evaluation, global quality performance assessment, and strategy development for supplier quality management. This role is vital to both EM Marin and our remote locations, such as EM BKK.

Supplier Quality Manager

  • Defines supplier quality management strategy in close collaboration with Quality Management, Operations, and Business Units. Ensures its implementation and monitoring.
  • Establishes and reviews timely supplier quality agreements.
  • Effectively deploys EM and customer requirements to relevant stakeholders.
  • Manages the SCAR process, ensuring effective root cause analysis and adequate corrective actions that meet EM and customer requirements.
  • Collaborates with Operations, BU, and Purchasing to select and qualify new suppliers and articles.
  • Assesses, reviews, and qualifies supplier process changes in conjunction with relevant stakeholders.
  • Supports risk assessment for supplier-related waiver requests, ensuring proper monitoring to prevent impacts on EM production and customers.
  • Defines and deploys yearly targets for automotive-grade and other noteworthy suppliers, foundries, and subcontractors.
  • Monitors and reports supplier quality performance to management. Drives continuous improvement initiatives based on primary detractors.
  • Collaborates with the Supply Chain team to trigger supplier audits and development plans through performance re-evaluation.
  • Manages the supplier audit program, coordinating with all interested parties, applying VDA 6.3 methodology for automotive-grade suppliers.
  • Acts as the lead auditor for internal audit activities, prioritizing audits and assessing risks, validating corrective actions, and reporting system gaps to management.

Profile

  • Engineering degree (Master's preferred) in Electronics, Microelectronics, or Materials Engineering, with 5-10 years of experience in a supplier quality organization.
  • Expertise in Quality Management Systems including ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
  • Proficiency in automotive core tools such as FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP, and APQP.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards such as AEC Q100, JEDEC, and MIL883.
  • Audit experience with VDA 6.3 and strong knowledge of ISO 19011, along with analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Understanding of semiconductor product development and manufacturing processes.
  • Project management skills.
