Job Description

The quality management of EM suppliers is vital to ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of numerous activities, including:

  • SCAR process management
  • Supplier selection and qualification
  • Process change management
  • Supplier performance monitoring and continuous improvement plans
  • Focus on critical suppliers and global quality performance evaluations
  • Supplier audits and quality management strategy

As an internal auditor, you will ensure that organizational processes comply with the requirements of various standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 17025) as well as the expectations of customers and regulatory frameworks.

This role will impact EM Marin, as well as our remote locations, EM BKK.

Position: Supplier Quality Manager

In order to strengthen our Quality department, we are recruiting a Supplier Quality Manager. The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Defining and implementing supplier quality management strategies in collaboration with Quality Management, Operations, and Business Units.
  • Ensuring timely establishment and review of supplier quality agreements.
  • Deploying EM and EM customers' requirements to relevant stakeholders effectively.
  • Managing the SCAR process to ensure effective root cause analysis and corrective actions that meet EM standards and customer needs.
  • Collaborating with Operations, Business Units, and Purchasing to evaluate and qualify new suppliers and their processes.
  • Supporting risk assessment for supplier-related waiver requests, ensuring no impact on EM production and customers.
  • Defining yearly targets for automotive grade and other relevant suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Monitoring and reporting supplier quality performance to management, analyzing and driving continuous improvement projects.
  • Coordinating the supplier audit program with interested parties, utilizing VDA 6.3 methodology for automotive grade suppliers.
  • Leading internal audit activities, prioritizing audits, and reporting on gaps and opportunities to management.

Profile

  • Engineering degree (Master's preferred) in Electronics, Microelectronics, or Materials Engineering, with 5-10 years of experience in a supplier quality organization.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems: ISO 9001, IATF 16949.
  • Knowledge of automotive core tools such as FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP, and APQP.
  • Understanding of relevant industry standards like AEC Q100, Jedec, MIL883, etc.
  • Audit experience with VDA 6.3 and a strong understanding of ISO 19011.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities; statistical knowledge is a plus.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor product development and manufacturing processes.
  • Project management skills.
