Job Description
The quality management of EM suppliers directly impacts the effectiveness and efficiency of numerous critical activities, including:
- SCAR process management
- Supplier selection and qualification
- Process change management
- Supplier performance monitoring and continuous improvement plans
- Focus on critical suppliers
- Global quality performance evaluation
- Development plans for suppliers, where appropriate
- Supplier audits
- Supplier quality management strategy
As an internal auditor, you will ensure that organizational processes comply with various standards (such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 17025), as well as customer, regulatory, and the organization's internal requirements. This role will affect not only EM Marin but also our remote locations, including EM BKK.
Position Available: Supplier Quality Manager
The Supplier Quality Manager will:
- Define and implement the supplier quality management strategy in collaboration with Quality management, Operations, and Business Units.
- Establish and timely review suppliers' quality agreements.
- Ensure EM and EM customers' requirements are effectively communicated and implemented.
- Manage the SCAR process, focusing on root cause analysis and corrective action effectiveness according to EM and customer requirements.
- Work closely with operations, Business Units, and purchasing to assess, select, and qualify new suppliers and validate new articles.
- Review and assess suppliers' process change requests in collaboration with operations and purchasing.
- Support risk assessments for suppliers' related waiver requests, ensuring no impact on EM production and customers.
- Define and deploy yearly targets for automotive grade and relevant suppliers, foundries, and subcontractors.
- Monitor and report on suppliers' quality performance, driving continuous improvement projects based on identified issues.
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain team for suppliers' performance re-evaluation, audits, and development plans.
- Oversee supplier audit programs in coordination with relevant stakeholders, requiring VDA 6.3 methodology for automotive grade suppliers.
- Lead internal audit activities, prioritizing audits based on risk assessments, performing audits, and validating the effectiveness of corrective actions.
Profile
- Master's degree in Electronics, Microelectronics, or Materials Engineering; relevant experience in a supplier quality organization (5-10 years) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems such as ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
- Familiarity with automotive core tools, including FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP, and APQP.
- Understanding of relevant industry standards like AEC Q100, Jedec, MIL883, etc.
- Audit experience with VDA 6.3 and strong knowledge of ISO 19011.
- Analytical skills and strong problem-solving methods; statistical knowledge is an asset.
- Knowledge of semiconductor product development and manufacturing processes.
- Project management skills.
