Job Description

The quality management of EM suppliers significantly influences the effectiveness and efficiency of various functions, including:

  • SCAR process management
  • Supplier selection and qualification
  • Process change management
  • Supplier performance monitoring and continual improvement planning
  • Critical suppliers focus
  • Global quality performance evaluations
  • Supplier development plans
  • Supplier audits and strategy

As an internal auditor, you will ensure that our organizational processes comply with established standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 17025), as well as customer and regulatory requirements.

This role impacts not only EM Marin but also our remote location EM BKK. To bolster our Quality department, we are seeking a:

Supplier Quality Manager

  • Define supplier quality management strategy in close collaboration with Quality management, Operations, and Business Units, ensuring its implementation and effectiveness.
  • Establish and timely review suppliers' quality agreements.
  • Effectively deploy EM and EM customers' requirements to relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage the SCAR process, ensuring effective root cause analysis, corrective action effectiveness, and compliance with EM and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with operations, Business Units, and purchasing to assess, select, and qualify new suppliers and articles, validating suppliers' PPAP where applicable.
  • Review, assess, and qualify suppliers' process changes in partnership with operations, Business Units, and purchasing.
  • Support risk assessments for waiver requests related to suppliers and ensure proper monitoring to avoid impacts on EM production and customers.
  • Define and deploy yearly targets for automotive-grade and other relevant suppliers, foundries, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor and report suppliers' quality performance, analyzing data to define and drive continuous improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain team for Suppliers Performance Re-evaluation, which may trigger supplier audits and development plans.
  • Own the supplier audit program in coordination with relevant parties, using VDA 6.3 methodology for automotive-grade suppliers.
  • Serve as the lead auditor for internal audit activities, conducting audits, evaluating corrective action effectiveness, and reporting on system gaps and opportunities for improvement.

Profile

  • Engineering degree (Master's preferred) in Electronics, Microelectronics, or Materials Engineering with 5-10 years of experience in supplier quality management.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems: ISO 9001, IATF 16949.
  • Proficiency in automotive core tools: FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP, APQP.
  • Understanding of relevant industry standards such as AEC Q100, JEDEC, and MIL-883.
  • Audit experience with VDA 6.3 and strong knowledge of ISO 19011. Analytical skills and strong problem-solving methods are essential; statistical knowledge is a plus.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor product development and manufacturing processes/environment.
  • Strong project management skills.
