Role Overview
As a Supervisor Engine Shop Floor, you will be responsible for the development and management of a highly effective team of approximately 20 to 25 employees, striving for safety and quality while meeting time and cost expectations. You will coordinate the team’s work with its direct stakeholders at SR Technics to align with the organization's goals and missions.
Your Tasks
- Promote a positive safety culture and ensure that the Safety and Quality Policy is communicated, promoted, and implemented throughout the organization.
- Lead and manage a multicultural team, fostering performance, engagement, and a positive work environment.
- Drive a performance culture through periodic target setting and structured follow-ups with all employees. Apply the Performance Management Process (PMP) with a focus on employee motivation.
- Plan and allocate resources to ensure high productivity and monitor labor efficiency.
- Drive personnel development and skill management to meet capacity requirements (OJT, qualifications, certifications, performance evaluations).
- Execute and promote continuous improvements by applying Lean principles and 5S to achieve organizational targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Participate in, prepare for, and take responsibility for internal and external audits.
Your Profile
- Technical background or technical education (aviation experience is a plus).
- Leadership experience with strong interpersonal skills; a minimum of 3 years in team leadership or strong project leadership preferred.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Proactive, independent, and self-initiated working style with a high performance drive.
- Knowledge and experience in applying Lean/Six Sigma methodology.
- Proficient in English (B2+), with German as an advantage.
- Proficiency with maintenance documentation systems; Microsoft Office required, SAP is an advantage.
