Job Purpose

Aiglon College is an international boarding school nestled in the Swiss Alps, renowned for its commitment to providing a challenging and holistic education in a supportive and inspiring environment. Each summer, the Summer Camp welcomes over 500 students, aged 8 to 16, from more than 45 nations.

Summer Camp staff play a crucial role in fostering Aiglon's ethos and ensuring a vibrant Summer Camp experience. We seek positive and enthusiastic individuals who are dedicated to creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere for all participants.

This position supports the daily operations of the Summer Camp office, assisting the Director of Summer Camp and the team with various administrative tasks. Employment dates are from April 7th to August 1st, 2026. During the Summer Camp period (from June 27th onwards), the working schedule will be six days per week.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Duties include:

  • Preparation of planning documents ahead of the Summer Camp programs, including staff schedules and operational planning for student courses.
  • Assisting the Summer Camp team with program bookings for all courses, such as bus and activities bookings.
  • Sharing planning information and leading general staff meetings during the Summer Camp, as requested by the Director of Summer Camp.
  • Managing the residential student arrival and departure scheduling while communicating with the staff team.
  • Liaising as requested with the estates and housekeeping, catering, campus cafe, health center team, and other key staff regarding courses during school holidays.
  • Collaborating with the Summer Camp office team to ensure that all databases and systems are up-to-date, especially for Enterprise iSAMS and reporting modules.
  • Answering telephone inquiries and responding to all emails, including the general department account, daily.
  • Preparing student and staff ID cards for specific courses.
  • Assisting with on-campus events such as family visits and new student arrivals and departures.
  • Drafting and sending emails and mailings as required by the Director of Summer Camp.
  • Maintaining positive relationships with Summer Camp families and agents at all times.
  • Ordering and preparing resources, materials, and equipment for courses and events.
  • Creating and distributing travel arrangement lists for arrivals and departures of residential courses.
  • Assisting with all aspects of student travel, including documentation for UM transfers, lost luggage, and student visa letters.
  • Liaising with the Computer Services Department as needed for IT and database management support.
  • Assisting with the administration of Summer Camp finance matters, including deposits, payments, reminders, cancellations, invoices, and reimbursements.
  • Managing student health and accident insurance for courses.
  • Providing administrative support to Summer Camp staff as needed, including any HR documentation.
  • Upholding the ethos and values of the school, exhibiting respect for all colleagues, and ensuring confidentiality in all school-related matters.
  • Being an active participant in Summer Camp life and assisting in the operation of Summer Camp events, as agreed with the Director of Summer Camp.

Other Tasks and Responsibilities

Undertake any other reasonable tasks as directed by the Director of Summer Camp to facilitate the smooth running of the program. Understand and implement all school policies and procedures, particularly those related to the safeguarding of children and young people. Embrace the School’s Guiding Principles and uphold its ethos at all times.
