Your Mission

Are you studying and seeking hands-on experience in UX Research, particularly in executing impactful research? Join our UX Research Team at SMG Automotive (AutoScout24 and MotoScout24) and assist us in conducting high-quality research at scale. As a Student UX Researcher, you will support our team of designers, product managers, and researchers in understanding our users’ needs, behaviors, and emotions. This role provides a fantastic opportunity to deepen your expertise in UX while contributing to the design and product decisions of Switzerland's most critical vehicle marketplaces, directly impacting millions of users.

What You Will Do

  • Run and improve our participant recruitment and scheduling process (screeners, coordination, reminders, incentives).
  • Support qualitative studies (interviews, user testing): prepare scripts, take notes, and moderate sessions.
  • Maintain our research repository: document insights, create project summaries, and share key findings with stakeholders.
  • Enhance our research toolkit: templates, checklists, guidelines, and standard operating procedures.
  • Support the research intake process: triage requests, clarify needs, and maintain the research calendar.
  • Coordinate with external partners/vendors as needed (e.g., recruitment providers).
  • Assist with quantitative research.
  • Help communicate insights through reports, summaries, and engagement with stakeholders.
  • Organize and support workshops and insight-sharing sessions (e.g., ideation, journey mapping).

Qualifications

Who You Are

  • You’re currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program (e.g., Psychology, HCI, Cognitive Science, Human Factors, Business/Behavioral Science, or similar).
  • You are highly organized, reliable, and thrive in making complex workstreams run smoothly.
  • You care about quality and details because research operations rely heavily on precision.
  • You can keep your Thursday afternoons free for user testing sessions.
  • You communicate clearly in English (our corporate language) and German.
  • You’re comfortable with digital tools (e.g., Notion, Miro), and experience with research tools like Lookback, Caplena, Qualtrics, Zapier, or similar is a plus.
  • Statistical analysis skills in R or SPSS are a significant advantage.
