Student Assistant for Website Editing Support (WordPress) - Sustainability & Ethics in Education Initiative

The Strategy and Analytics Team is dedicated to the systematic integration of sustainability and ethics into teaching and learning. Our mission is to empower students to tackle global challenges such as climate change, resource justice, and ethical decision-making, positioning them as 'change agents for a better tomorrow.'

As a student assistant, you will play a vital role in embedding sustainability and ethics into the educational framework at ETH Zurich, providing both organizational and content-related support.

Project Background

Within the Sustainability & Ethics (S&E) Initiative, we have compiled a range of teaching activities focused on sustainability across various ETH departments and partner universities (ENHANCE+). We are now preparing to publish this collection on the existing Competence View website and similar catalogues. Our goal is to make these innovative teaching activities visible, accessible, and easy for instructors to adopt, thereby fostering knowledge exchange and enhancing the quality of teaching across the university and within the ENHANCE Alliance.

Job Description

You will support the S&E Initiative in the following focus areas:

• Assisting with website editing: Preparing, structuring, and publishing teaching examples on a WordPress-based platform.
• Organizing workshops: Managing logistical and administrative tasks such as scheduling, room bookings, and materials preparation.
• Conducting basic literature research: Focusing on sustainability and ethics in higher education.

Profile

• You are a Bachelor's or Master's student at a Swiss university.
• You are passionate about integrating sustainability and ethics into higher education.
• You demonstrate strong organizational skills, reliability, efficiency, and independence.
• You possess a positive 'can-do' attitude and appreciate providing feedback from a student perspective.
• You are proficient in MS Office.
• You have basic knowledge of WordPress and a strong interest in digital tools and website editing.
• You communicate confidently and clearly in English, with additional proficiency in German being advantageous.
