Position Overview

We are seeking a Strategic Procurement Manager who will play a vital role in the formulation, execution, and evolution of procurement strategies. This includes locating, evaluating, contracting, and maintaining the best sources of supply for the materials and services required by Operations, considering factors such as quality, value, performance, cost, and the ability to respond quickly to changing supply requirements, including licensing and logistics services. You will take ownership, responsibility, and accountability for supplier and vendor selection and development, delivering ongoing and sustainable improvements in procurement costs to support SR Technics' growth objectives.

Your Tasks

  • Develop and execute procurement and strategic sourcing strategies to continuously reduce total cost of ownership and improve quality, standards, and delivery performance of services and products purchased.
  • Analyze spend data and trends to identify and recommend strategic sourcing initiatives that meet the needs of SR Technics Switzerland.
  • Recommend efficient methods for forming strategic sourcing agreements based on spend analysis, end-user activity, and marketplace conditions.
  • Negotiate strategic sourcing agreements and manage changes to supplier and vendor contracts while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Utilize negotiation and mediation skills to resolve contractual disputes with suppliers and vendors.
  • Analyze bid responses to determine the most responsive bidders, optimizing total costs for SR Technics Switzerland.
  • Collaborate with operational and other procurement teams to develop strategic sourcing agreements and monitor supplier performance.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, business administration, or economics; Supply Chain or Purchasing education preferred.
  • Professional experience in a technical environment, preferably within the aviation sector, with expertise in Purchasing and Supply Chain management.
  • Demonstrated sourcing and contracting experience, with excellent project management skills focusing on results and deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective relationship management and teamwork, complemented by strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Extended working knowledge of databases and data handling tools.
  • Language proficiency: German level B2 and English level C1.
