Position Overview: Strategic Procurement Manager

As a Strategic Procurement Manager, you will actively contribute to the formulation, execution, and evolution of procurement strategies related to locating, evaluating, contracting, and maintaining the best sources of supply for the materials and services required by Operations. Considerations will include quality, value, performance, cost, and the ability to respond quickly to changing supply requirements, including licensing and logistics services.

You will take ownership, responsibility, and accountability for supplier and vendor selection and development, delivering ongoing and sustainable improvement in procurement costs to support SR Technics' growth objectives.

Your Tasks

• Develop and execute procurement and strategic sourcing strategies to continuously reduce total cost of ownership and improve quality, standards, and delivery performance of services and products purchased, while maintaining awareness of changing business trends in the marketplace.
• Analyze spend data and trends to identify, develop, recommend, and justify strategic sourcing initiatives that meet the needs of SR Technics Switzerland, utilizing data mining tools, marketplace analysis, end-user feedback, and preparing supporting reports.
• Recommend the most appropriate and efficient methods for forming strategic sourcing initiatives and agreements, determining suitability based on spend analysis and marketplace conditions.
• Negotiate strategic sourcing agreements and manage supplier and vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with requirements, policies, and regulations.
• Apply negotiation and mediation skills to resolve contractual disputes and ensure acceptable outcomes in line with compliance standards.
• Analyze bid responses to determine the most responsive and responsible bidders, optimizing total cost for SR Technics Switzerland.
• Collaborate with operational and other procurement teams to develop strategic sourcing agreements and monitor supplier and vendor performance through financial reviews and customer satisfaction surveys.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, business administration, or economics, with a preference for Supply Chain or Purchasing education.
• Professional experience in a technical environment, preferably within the aviation sector, along with expertise in Purchasing and Supply Chain management.
• Demonstrated sourcing and contracting experience with excellent project management skills focused on results and deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective relationship management and teamwork, along with communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Extensive knowledge of databases and data handling tools.
• Language proficiency: German level B2 and English level C1.
