Position: Strategic Procurement Manager
As a Strategic Procurement Manager, you will actively contribute to the formulation, execution, and evolution of procurement strategies related to sourcing, evaluating, contracting, and maintaining the best suppliers for the materials and services required by our Operations. You will consider factors such as quality, value, performance, cost, and responsiveness to changing supply requirements, including licensing and logistics services. In this role, you will take ownership, responsibility, and accountability for supplier and vendor selection and development, delivering ongoing improvements in procurement costs to support SR Technics' growth objectives.
Your Tasks
- Develop and execute procurement strategies to reduce total cost of ownership while improving quality, standards, and delivery performance of purchased services and products.
- Recommend efficient methods for strategic sourcing initiatives based on spend analysis, end-user activity, and marketplace evaluations.
- Negotiate strategic sourcing agreements and any changes in supplier contracts in accordance with compliance, policies, rules, and regulations.
- Evaluate the appropriateness of recurring purchases for strategic sourcing agreements.
- Assess proposed contract changes to ensure they are reasonable and compliant with organizational policies.
- Utilize negotiation skills to resolve contractual vendor disputes effectively.
- Develop solutions for challenges arising during the strategic sourcing contracting process, mediating disputes as necessary.
- Stay informed about changing business trends that could impact SR Technics.
- Justify formal bid awards in the event of protests filed by vendors.
- Analyze bid responses to determine the most responsible and responsive bidders, optimizing costs for SR Technics.
- Conduct spend analysis to identify and develop strategic sourcing initiatives and recommend agreement formations.
- Assist in developing internal policies and tools necessary to implement sourcing initiatives, prioritizing them effectively.
- Collaborate with Procurement teams on the development of strategic sourcing agreements.
- Monitor and assess supplier performance through financial reviews, product performance metrics, and customer satisfaction surveys.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, business administration, or economics.
- Supply Chain or Purchasing education is preferred.
- Professional experience in a technical environment, preferably within the aviation sector.
- Proficient in Purchasing and Supply Chain practices.
- Experience in sourcing and contracting is essential.
- Strong project management skills with a focus on results and deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective relationship management and teamwork.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Extensive experience with databases.
- Language skills: German (Level B2), English (C1).
