Strategic Pricing Analyst Surgery - Johnson & Johnson

Are you passionate about making a tangible difference in healthcare? We are seeking a Strategic Pricing Analyst to join our commercial team. This role is central to Johnson & Johnson’s go-to-market strategy, emphasizing long-term partnerships, market trends, and customer needs.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance pricing strategies and new business models, evaluate pricing proposals, and provide guidance on organizational standards related to product performance. Roles & Responsibilities

  • Strategic Pricing is central to the future business strategy for the Johnson & Johnson companies, influencing how we market as a Surgery organization and playing a vital role in our future growth plans.
  • As a Strategic Pricing Analyst, you will report to the Commercial Lead of the Swiss Surgery organization and closely collaborate with the Strategic Account Management, Operational Pricing, Sales Organization, and Marketing Team.
  • Together with the Strategic Account Management and our clinical team, you will coordinate and support the proposal development process, presenting opportunities and risks along with their implications to the required levels of management.
  • You will develop data-driven pricing strategies to maximize profitability and competitiveness.
  • In collaboration with our Marketing Team, you will prepare for new product launches, market approaches, and potential portfolio segmentations.
  • In conjunction with the Surgery Leadership Team, you will coordinate regular reviews of departmental pricing analysis reports and submit results promptly to Management for review and subsequent directives.
  • Together with the Operational Pricing Team, you will analyze current pricing models and structures to identify areas for improving pricing efficiencies for the customer base.
  • You will define local price-volume guidance and lead the design and testing of new tools to support the local sales force.
  • To support business plan development and account strategies, you will provide recommendations on alternate pricing models to Management to secure key customer business.
  • You will assess and track pricing key performance measures along with ad hoc analysis and reporting to measure against pricing goals and targets.
  • You will act as the direct link to the EMEA Pricing Team.

Qualifications

  • Academic or financial background, ideally supported by a Master’s degree in Business Administration, with several years of experience in pricing or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of profit and loss statements (P&L), margin analysis, cost structures, and price-demand relationships.
  • Experience in contracting and deal structuring is a plus.
  • Analytical and strategic thinker with solid business acumen.
  • Project management capabilities with the ability to lead complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong team spirit and a collaborative mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German, with strong English skills (written and spoken); proficiency in a second official language is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, along with experience using Power BI and other financial analysis tools; programming skills are an asset, and ERP (S4/H) knowledge is a plus.
