Join Emerson, a Fortune 500 global technology, software, engineering, and manufacturing leader, as a Strategic Planner. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to influence strategic decision-making and financial analysis that drives innovation across various industries. Based at one of our main European sites, you will report directly to a member of the Emerson Europe Leadership Team.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Your contributions will be pivotal in shaping the company’s strategic direction through the following key responsibilities:

Strategy Development

• Support the leadership team with critical initiative development, message refinement, and implementation to foster growth and innovation.
• Develop and implement programs to enhance excellence in cornerstone MBA topics such as Strategy, Marketing, Finance, and HR.
• Create presentations, analyses, and materials that clearly communicate complex strategies to senior leadership and various partners.

Market Analysis

• Conduct industry and market analyses across Emerson’s serviced industries, identifying growth opportunities and monitoring competitors’ insights.

Business Development

• Assist with Commercial Excellence initiatives aimed at improving revenue operations, optimizing sales channels, and enhancing digital sales strategies and tactics.

Reporting

• Provide insights and commentary for management meetings, market assessments, and global Emerson management processes.

Emerson’s MBA Leadership Program

This program allows you to immerse yourself in our business over an intensive four-year rotational period. You will complete two rotations in different locations and departments, collaborating directly with senior executives to enhance your leadership skills and make a significant impact within our multi-billion-dollar international company.

Requirements

• A university degree and MBA are required.
• Strong analytical skills and critical thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Fluency in English.
• Willingness to travel.
• Fluency in any other European language is an advantage.
