Roles & Responsibilities
Strategic Account Management is a crucial aspect of the future business strategy for Johnson & Johnson. It is integral to how we operate within the Surgery organization and will be vital for our future growth plans. This approach enables us to showcase the long-term value of partnerships and our significant impact on patient care.
As a Strategic Account Manager, you will report to the Lead of Strategic Account Management for Surgery and be responsible for developing mutually beneficial long-term partnerships with clinical and non-clinical partners within designated key accounts.
- Develop and lead the account strategy to drive additional profitable sales and market share growth within Hospitals, Hospital Groups & Group Purchasing Organizations.
- Coordinate and support the proposal development process alongside the clinical team, presenting opportunities and risks to management.
- Lead negotiations for commercial agreements and oversee their execution across care centers, in collaboration with the Business Unit and Shared Functions (Pricing, Services & Solutions, HEMA, etc.).
- Act as the representative of Johnson & Johnson Surgery for commercial partners in strategic accounts.
Qualifications
- A Master’s degree in Business Administration or a relevant field is advantageous.
- Several years of clinical experience in a Sales Manager or Key Account Manager role, with a proven record in managing non-clinical partnerships.
- Deep understanding of the healthcare market and the local regulatory/policy environment, with the ability to identify short-term and long-term business impacts.
- Experience in contract negotiations and deal structuring.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in German to effectively represent Johnson & Johnson’s MedTech in the region; strong English proficiency is required, with knowledge of a second official language being preferred. French language skills are an added advantage.
