The Opportunity

As a Stock Controller, you will be instrumental in maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting the seamless operation of warehouse activities. Working closely with the Stock Control Manager, you will ensure that inbound and outbound stock processes are executed with precision, stock levels are kept consistent, and warehouse standards are upheld. This role is perfect for someone with strong attention to detail who thrives in a fast-paced environment, taking pride in maintaining accuracy and efficiency in warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Unload inbound deliveries and verify quantities against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Conduct stock checks to ensure products are received accurately and uphold quality standards.
  • Replenish stock and maintain an organized and efficient warehouse layout.
  • Carry out regular and ad hoc stock counts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
  • Update inventory systems with accurate stock information and support stock adjustments.
  • Monitor outstanding purchase orders and assist with resolving discrepancies.
  • Support quality checks on outbound orders and report any issues.
  • Assist with supplier returns and stock handling processes.
  • Collaborate with Procurement and Operations teams to support stock planning and accuracy.
  • Identify recurring stock issues and escalate them to the Stock Control Manager.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse operations.
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.

About You

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Previous experience in stock control or inventory management.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  • Experience using warehouse management or inventory systems, preferably NetSuite.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to follow established processes and procedures.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A proactive approach and good problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience handling technical or trade-related products.
  • A forklift license or experience operating material handling equipment is desirable but not essential.

  • Salary of £27,750 per annum.
  • Monday to Friday working hours, from 08:00 to 17:00.
  • Flexibility for occasional earlier starts or later finishes as required.
