Skills & Requirements
- Active Pharmacy Technician registration in good standing.
- Hands-on sterile compounding experience.
- Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and cleanroom practices.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed procedures.
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous 503B sterile compounding experience.
- Experience within hospital, oncology, infusion, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of USP <797>, USP <800>, cGMP, and FDA requirements.
- PTCB certification.
Responsibilities of the Sterile Compound Technician
- Prepare, weigh, mix, and compound sterile pharmaceutical products using approved procedures.
- Work within controlled cleanroom environments, including ISO 5 and ISO 7 areas.
- Follow aseptic technique, USP <797>, cGMP, FDA, and internal quality requirements.
- Operate and monitor compounding and filling equipment.
- Complete batch records, manufacturing documentation, and inventory records accurately.
- Inspect materials, equipment, and finished preparations to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow established cleaning procedures.
- Manage product inventory, supplies, and materials.
- Work efficiently and accurately within production timelines and volume requirements.
- Follow all standard operating procedures and safety requirements.
Compensation
$20 to $24 per hour, depending on experience.
