Role Overview

As a key member of our Housekeeping team aboard our River vessels, the Stateroom Steward/ess offers our guests friendly and personalized housekeeping service. This role includes upholding high standards of cleanliness in guest staterooms and public areas while providing exceptional customer service. The Stateroom Steward/ess reports directly to the Housekeeper.

What You Will Do On Board

  • Conduct daily cleaning of staterooms, public areas, toilets, and reception areas.
  • Handle cleaning products, materials, and housekeeping equipment with care.
  • Rotate laundry duties, including washing, ironing, and folding activities.
  • Distribute daily programs, gift orders, and turndown services in staterooms.
  • Report technical defects of staterooms to the supervisor/reception and assist with embarkation/disembarkation.
  • Conduct stock takes, inventory, and participate in onboard training programs.

About You

  • High school diploma required.
  • Minimum of 2 years previous experience in a similar position in housekeeping.
  • Good English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, with a service-oriented and guest-focused attitude.
  • Must maintain impeccable hygiene standards and be discreet with confidential information.
