Your Mission
- Position data science to drive a topline impact on the supply chain by reducing stockouts and ensuring full order fulfillment, through evaluating the landscape and providing clarity on necessary technological, algorithmic, and process-oriented actions.
- Design, develop, and implement state-of-the-art optimization models to create a more efficient, resilient, and reliable supply chain.
- Lead complex, end-to-end optimization projects from conception to deployment, ensuring they meet business needs while being scalable and robust.
- Provide expert guidance on forecasting methodologies and their influence on supply chain optimization and performance.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders across the organization—including Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Product, and Controlling—to align supply chain strategy with data and AI insights.
- Act as a thought leader in the field of supply chain optimization and forecasting, staying current with the latest research and technologies to identify opportunities for application at On.
- Mentor and coach other data scientists, offering technical guidance and support for their professional development.
- Contribute to the enhancement of our data science platform and infrastructure, ensuring we have the essential tools and processes for efficient model development and deployment.
Your Story
- You possess a deep understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning, and time-series forecasting, backed by 8+ years of experience in data science with a focus on supply chain optimization. Experience in building forecasting models is also highly regarded.
- You hold a Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- You are a hands-on data scientist with a strategic mindset, able to lead projects, mentor others, and drive technical decisions.
- Your expertise includes Python and SQL, and experience with data science libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, and TensorFlow/PyTorch. You have a track record of deploying and maintaining machine learning and optimization models in a production environment.
- You have experience with optimization software (e.g., Gurobi) and are fluent in large-scale data processing and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark).
- You are an effective communicator who can build relationships with stakeholders at all levels, translating complex technical concepts into business terms and driving alignment around proposed solutions.
- You are passionate about leveraging data to create business impact and are eager to shape the future of On’s supply chain.
