Job Title: Sponsorship Sales Associate

The Business Development Team

Complementing TEAM’s established expertise in marketing UEFA’s Men’s Club Competitions, the Business Development team is at the forefront of uncovering new commercial opportunities for the TEAM group of companies and targeting prospective partners in the sports sector.

The Role

As a Sponsorship Sales Associate within the Business Development team, you will play a vital role in delivering sales results for TEAM’s clients while expanding our network and market knowledge. Initially, your focus will be on developing commercial opportunities across a variety of dynamic sports properties, including esports and football (excluding UEFA competitions), to support both current clients and future partnerships.

Your Responsibilities

  • Build marketplace knowledge by gathering client-specific industry data and staying informed on emerging trends, brands in the sports sponsorship landscape, and evolving consumer habits.
  • Identify relevant categories and prospects, define property- and brand-specific narratives, and generate demand for respective properties.
  • Compile comprehensive background analyses of prospective sponsors and their industry sectors.
  • Create market-leading sales materials tailored to target brands and incumbent sponsors, including research, key sales messages, and presentation decks.
  • Schedule and support meetings with target brands or agencies.
  • Develop, present, and negotiate sponsorship proposals in collaboration with clients.
  • Drive the sales process through all pipeline stages.
  • Provide weekly and monthly forecasting and reporting to clients and TEAM’s senior management.
  • Track and report on sales performance metrics, ensuring pipeline data is consistently updated.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate has initial experience in sponsorship sales—preferably within the sports industry—and possesses a passion for finding the right sponsors for clients. A strong understanding of major players, competitors, and market trends is essential. Your confident and collaborative approach enables you to engage in sales, negotiations, and build trusted relationships at all levels—both internally and externally with clients or target brands. Your analytical mindset and solid grasp of key tools and frameworks equip you to identify valuable insights and create meaningful connections between properties and brands.

Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop or similar design software would be advantageous. Additionally, you excel in the following areas:

  • Adaptability: You are curious, resilient, and open to various methods and ways of working.
  • Ambition: You aim high and support others in striving for excellence.
  • Connection: You value collaboration, inclusion, and long-term partnerships.
  • Diligence: You deliver with integrity, accountability, and consistent quality.
  • Languages: You speak and write fluently in English; other languages are a plus.

At TEAM, we strive to be the best place for your career development in the sports marketing industry. We foster a community that promotes clear communication and focuses on individual growth.

  • Be Inspired: Collaborate with and learn from industry-leading professionals in an open, international, and vibrant culture.

  • Get Involved: Participate in TEAM’s Sustainability, DEI, or Social committees; engage in weekly staff-organized sports; contribute to regular volunteering/charity opportunities; and enjoy all-company events and celebrations.
