Position: Sponsorship Sales Associate

The Business Development Team

Complementing TEAM’s established expertise in marketing UEFA’s Men’s Club Competitions, the Business Development team is now at the forefront of developing new commercial opportunities for the TEAM group of companies, targeting prospective partners in the sports sector.

The Role

As a Sponsorship Sales Associate within the Business Development team, you will be integral to delivering sales results for TEAM’s clients while expanding our network and market insight. Your focus will initially be on developing commercial opportunities across a variety of dynamic sports properties, including esports and football (excluding UEFA competitions), to support both existing clients and future partnerships.

Your Responsibilities

  • Acquire marketplace knowledge by gathering client-specific industry data and staying updated on emerging trends, active brands in the sports sponsorship landscape, and evolving consumer habits.
  • Identify relevant categories and prospects, craft property- and brand-specific narratives, and generate demand for respective properties.
  • Compile thorough background analyses of prospective sponsors and their corresponding industry sectors.
  • Create market-leading sales materials tailored to target brands and current sponsors, including information gathering, defining key sales messages, and structuring presentation decks.
  • Schedule and support meetings with target brands or agencies.
  • Develop, present, and negotiate sponsorship proposals in collaboration with clients.
  • Drive the sales process through all pipeline stages.
  • Provide weekly and monthly forecasting and reporting to clients and TEAM’s senior management.
  • Track and report sales performance metrics, ensuring that pipeline data remains consistently updated.

The Candidate

You have initial experience in sponsorship sales—ideally within the sports industry—and are passionate about connecting the best sponsors with clients. A solid understanding of major players, competitors, and market trends is essential. Your confident and collaborative nature enables you to contribute effectively to sales, negotiation, and building trusted relationships at all levels—both internally and externally with clients or target brands.

With an analytical mindset and proficiency with key tools and frameworks, you are well-equipped to uncover valuable insights and identify meaningful links between properties and brands. Your growing commercial acumen supports your sales activities, and you are eager to build and expand your industry network to ensure a steady stream of opportunities. You communicate effectively and present your ideas vocally and in writing, always with an eye toward the highest standards. Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop or similar design software would be an advantage.

The position will be based in either TEAM’s Lucerne or London office and may involve some international travel.
