Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Spanish teacher to engage academically motivated high school sophomores (ages 15-16) from various schools across the United States. This role will involve teaching Spanish from beginner to Advanced Placement levels in intimate class sizes of 2 to 6 students.
The successful candidate will:
- Teach four classes of Spanish, covering Spanish I through Advanced Placement.
- Conduct regular assessments of students through assignments, tests, and exams.
- Maintain correspondence with the sending schools in the United States, primarily via email.
- Work with curriculum provided by the home schools for each student.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Exceptional English writing and speaking skills (Native or C2 level).
- Bachelor of Arts in Spanish teaching.
- Master's or PhD degrees are preferred, but not a requirement.
- A strong teaching background with experience in different levels of secondary school Spanish.
- Familiarity with the US curriculum is advantageous.
- Ability to provide advisory support to 4-5 students.
- Outdoor experience in activities such as hiking, climbing, biking, and skiing is preferred but not mandatory.
